This roundtable is intended to provide the audience with an understanding of the various types of audits (federal and commercial), their process, and the specific issues related to audits in the pathology and lab space.

Learning Objectives

1. Understand the federal and commercial audit and appeal process from start to finish;
2. Provide proactive steps to potentially avoid audits, mitigate risk if audited, and best practices for when an audit is implemented; and 
3. Provide real-world examples from lab and pathology audits and lessons learned.
