AI 201: Introduction to Synthetic Data and Generative AI

Feb 11, 2025 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM CT

Advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) are transforming the pathology and laboratory medicine landscape. Building on the concepts from AI 101*, this next webinar will delve into more advanced AI applications, including synthetic data generation and auto-machine learning tools. Attendees will explore how these technologies bridge the gap between generative and non-generative AI, enhancing diagnostic accuracy, workflow efficiency, and personalized care.

There are two options to attend the live webinar: 8 a.m. CT and 8 p.m. CT. A recording will also be made available after the event.

*A link to the recording for AI 101 can be found on the registration page for this webinar.

Objectives

  • Understand the concept of synthetic data/generative AI
  • Recognize the differences between non-generative and generative AI models, and their applications in pathology and medicine
  • Learn the different types of synthetic data/generative AI (eg, images, text, and tabular data)
  • Identify key challenges and ethical considerations associated with—and possible solutions from—AI, including data bias, security, and privacy
  • Prepare for the practical implementation of AI tools and emerging trends
