Laboratory Oversight and Regulation

Federal and state laboratory regulations are meant to ensure accuracy and safety, but without the expert input of pathologists, new rules may either fail to achieve those goals or place undue burden on the profession. The CAP advocates to ensure regulations protect patients without overburdening pathologists and laboratories.
